Grant Thornton Open and First Timers' Case Competition

The Grant Thornton Open Case Competition is where you'll get the opportunity to analyse a business situation, and generate effective strategies which you will present back to a panel of judges.

This competition is perfect for building communication skills, analytical thinking and teamwork skills. You will get to make friends, expand your skillset, and grow your understanding of different industries. If you're still not convinced there is a cash prize pool on offer too!

In teams of four you will be given 3 hours to analyse a business and prepare a solution. Each team will have 10 minutes to present to the judges, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A. You may sign up as a team or as an individual, in which case we will assign you to a team.

These comps are the only pathway into the Case Programme, where you could be representing the University on a national and international level.
