The Kearney Strategic Asset Case Competition challenges students to make a logical and persuasive argument on whether a business should acquire another company. This competition doesn't require technical or financial knowledge - all you need is some common sense, creativity, and basic commercial know-how. 💼

Teams of 2-4 will have a week to submit a report detailing their strategic recommendations for the case company. Finalists will then be selected and given several days to prepare a presentation on their submission. Finals will be hosted at the University of Auckland, where finalists will present their recommendations to a panel of Kearney judges. 👨‍💼📈

Prize Pool 💰

• First place: $400

• Second place: $300

• Third place: $200

• Best Speaker: $100

• One-on-one mentoring sessions with Kearney for each member of the top three teams

Key Dates 📅

• Registrations open: 12 April, 9:00am

• Tutorial: 1 May, 6:00pm. This will be in OGGB 3 (260-092).

• Registrations close: 1 May, 11:59pm

• Case released: 2 May, 8:00am

• Submissions due: 9 May, 11:59pm

• Finals: 18 May. The finals will be in Decima Glenn.
